Meet Asteroid
Asteroid is not just another memecoin. It is a movement born from the dream of a brave 15-year-old girl named Liv Perrotto. A pediatric cancer survivor, Liv was invited to design the zero-gravity indicator for SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission. She grabbed a pencil and created Asteroid in under 30 minutes — a spacesuit-clad Shiba Inu inspired by Elon Musk's own dog, Floki.
In September 2024, her creation launched aboard Crew Dragon "Resilience," reaching 1,400 km above Earth and floating in zero gravity during humanity's first commercial spacewalk. Millions watched live as Asteroid became an icon of hope.
"My main idea for Asteroid was based on Elon's dog, Floki. I've always loved Shibas. And then when I heard Elon got Floki, I was like, 'Done.'"
Tragically, Liv passed away from cancer in early 2026. Her biggest wish was to meet Elon Musk — she had even written a list of questions to ask him. Her mother, Rebecca Perrotto, carried on Liv's dream, asking Musk to make Asteroid the official mascot of SpaceX.
